The phrase, “African Dance” is nearer to a question than an answer. The myriad ethnic groups, regions and landscapes of Africa demonstrate a vast array of movement, sound and style. As Guardian is an investigation into the roots and stories of our communities-we look to Africa as a beginning point of North American dance.
