Some Oakland dancers began this movement in the late 1960’s to soul music, and it was popularized by the Electric Boogaloos in the 70’s. Dances under this umbrella are characterized by their creation of illusion. Dancers tremble, walk, pose, turn, slide and wiggle all while moving around. |
